Lisbeth

Salander

PINTEREST PICTURES OF MY LOVE !!

UNORGANIZED RAMBLES

this shrine is a wip!

lisbeth salander actually saved me from a burning building once. yeah, that's how important she is. i'm glad i decided to choose her as the first character for my shrines. i specifically love rooney mara's lisbeth! i have yet to watch any of the swedish movies (as of typing this, i've read 2 books and seen fincher's movie, i need to read the last one and watch the swedish trilogy) so maybe my opinion will change (or, more likely, i'll like the other lisbeth but love rooney mara's lol) sucks it was never renewed for a sequel, i love her so much. went through a crazy phase of doing my makeup to mimic bleached eyebrows + dark smudged eyemakeup + deep brown lipliner and folio by mac on my lips. i would straighten my hair all the time and had micro bangs, and i wore skinny jeans and combat boots and cut off the sleeves of a hoodie and loved wearing leather anything even if i was cold as fuck at school. ill probs insert some pictures. i looked really cool despite the burning of my hair and the intolerance of the cold.

i was so cool looking right? say i am right now, prick. anyway, looking at these pictures makes me miss dressing like that, even though i was highkey deeply unhappy and didn't really know it. or i did know it, but i didn't really want to admit it to myself and i couldn't have done anything about it at the time. so glad i've graduated high school, that shit was a hellhole. ANYWAY! i should be talking about lisbeth. i feel like it's also important, and fun as well, to catalogue the time period when i figured out about her for the first time. she's so strong despite the things she has went through, and i really aspire to that. and she can beat ass/doesn't let anyone walk over her, she's confident and minds her business, and i feel like a lot of her personality traits i could really benefit from emulating.

everytime i talk about her anywhere, i always refer to her as my love. i'm not sure why. when i watched the movie for the second time my review was: i love this movie, im in love with lisbeth, im in love" and it's my pinned review on my profile actually (anytime i have the ability to plug my letterboxd i will). i'm not actually lesbi for her (although if you are i completely get it) i just love her on this very deep platonic level. i feel like she's gotten me through a lot of stuff, despite me not really thinking of her a bunch on my day to day. when i was printing posters for my dorm decor, i printed my the girl with the dragon tattoo one larger than all the others. ill more than likely put in pictures of fanart ive done of her too. everytime i see her out in the wild (in an instagram reel or a graphic design or some shit) i get so happy its ridiculous. it feels like i don't have anyone to talk about her with, but i highk like it that way (sometimes). for some reason, whenever someone likes something i also like on a really deep level, i get irrationally angry because "they don't get it like i do" or "it's mine" in some weird way idk. maybe because i feel like i have a lot of nerdy interests and the way i talk about them sometimes illicits disinterested reactions even though i happily listen to other people's obsessions. but also, i just feel super possessive over the stuff i like, and i feel superior to the other people in the fandom sometimes despite me not really having anything against them objectively. sucks being nd. sucks being a low inhib nd LMAO
